And for the post. Hadn't heard McCain on Leno -- gotta hand it to the guy ... he's one hell of a funny elitist.
Loyal and Jonathan --
THANKS for the birthday wishes and the song. My wife and kids brought me a tray of donuts with candles on one -- which I blew out with the boys -- before they left for the airport this morning. All I want for my birthday is for the Dems to bury the hatchet!
Jonathan --
Thanks for the compliment!NeuroticDemhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11136191516171724844noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2153889983960671531.post-7064445674894234232008-08-26T14:47:00.000-04:002008-08-26T14:47:00.000-04:00Great post - it gave a better feel for the convent...Great post - it gave a better feel for the convention than anything else I've read today.

And Happy Birthday! Kings, and Queens and Princes Too, All have Birthdays Whynotjew, so Wish day wash day whaddayouknow birthday, Happy Birhtday to you.

Well, McCain did suggest that the Harley guys shuld check out Cindy as a nice piece of elephant when he was pandering to them, didn't he?

The convention made for poor tv because of that lull that you referred to. It should have been Jim Leach, then Kennedy, then Michelle. It lost its wind.

And it absolutely lacked a stage setting. Givent hta it wsa Michelle's night adn the need to rewrite her image as a n angry black woman, the night should not have been about traditional red meat and attacks. But it should have been about linking McCain to Bush. That's not negative, not angry, and not mean. In fact, it could have been understated and matter of fact. But you can't get the night back and it was a missed opportunity.

LoyalLoyalhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10005436506562050460noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2153889983960671531.post-43022723072366298462008-08-26T08:21:00.000-04:002008-08-26T08:21:00.000-04:00ND--- Don't you mean a "cone" of silence? Be glad you could hear everything--even the cable stations that promised "gavel to gavel" had numerous interruptions and missed many speeches. You did miss Leno, though, where McCain, in answer to his 7 houses, responded that he had been in a hut for 5 1/2 yrs as a POW.grosenhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08539863781421123463noreply@blogger.com
